Core concepts

Instances & organizations

An organization is the unit of ownership and billing on nexp. An instance is an organization running on a cluster — in practice you'll use the words interchangeably until you add more environments.

What isolation means

Each instance gets:

  • Its own private data store. Fully isolated per instance — your data is never mixed with another tenant's.
  • Its own identity space (nexp IAM). Users, roles, groups, SSO connections and password policies are per-instance.
  • Its own app space. Apps, pages, forms and navigation are all scoped to the instance.

Plans

Plan Environments Lifecycle
Free 1 Full platform; pauses after 2 days of inactivity; one per account
Licensed Multiple (dev/staging/prod) Always on, managed with our team

Your plan is visible in the console. Upgrading from free to a licensed plan keeps the same instance — nothing is migrated or recreated.

Ownership

The organization's owner email links it to a nexp.dev account: sign in to the console with that email and the organization appears in your list, with environment status and links. Additional members are managed inside the instance under Users — see Users, roles & groups.
